Lakers, Tartans Mourn Passing Of Former Teammate

Hockey-NetThe Wallaceburg Lakers and WDSS Tartans have lost a member of their family, Jason White, who passed away February 27, following an accident on the 402.

White, who graduated from Wallaceburg District Secondary School in 2013, was an athlete with the school, playing for the boys hockey team.

Over the past two seasons, White played 10 games in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League with the Wallaceburg Lakers, including 8 this season.

Dozens were injured, and two killed, in a 30-vehicle pileup, which closed the 402 and spanned roughly 2km.

Members of White’s former school, and the hockey community poured out condolences and memories of the young athlete Thursday and Friday over social media.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been released.

CKSN would like to send our thoughts and condolences to all of Jason’s family and friends.
