Wallaceburg Novice 1 Hold First Place After Beating Windsor

It’s been a successful season already for the Wallaceburg Griffins Novice 1 team. The young Griffins team stretched their unbeaten streak to 8 games including an 11-3 win over second place Windsor Tuesday night in Wallaceburg.

Tanner Cole scored 4 goals for the Wallaceburg Griffins to power his team to the win. Tyler Davis and Riley Roe both scored twice for Wallaceburg, while Hunter Santsche, Evan Dumais, and Cole MacKinnon each scored. Malcolm VandeVenne and Aiden Lucyk split the win in net for Wallaceburg.

Wallaceburg now sits with a season record of 7-0-1, with their lone tie coming against London in early May. Currently, Tanner Cole is leading the Novice 1 team in scoring with 18 goals, 13 assists, and 31 points in 8 games.

The Griffins Novice 1 team now sits 4 points ahead of Windsor for first place in Zone 7. The team next plays Monday June 6th against the Wallaceburg Griffins Novice 2 team.
