Paul Seward Wins Jamieson Tour Stop

Chatham’s Paul Seward found himself atop the leaderboard at the third stop of the Jamieson Junior Golf Tour Thursday at Sutton Creek Golf Club in Essex.

After 18-holes, Seward was tied with Tecumseh’s Alex Zappio, who won an earlier tour stop in Blenheim, after the duo each shot 73’s.

On the first playoff hole however, Seward won the tournament outright with a par, on the difficult par 5 first hole.

Another Chatham golfer, Andrew Reaume finished third at the event, one shot back at 74. Ridgetown’s Crawford McKinlay was two shots back, finishing fourth with a round of 75.

The tour will make one more stop in Chatham-Kent this month as it visits Ridgetown, Seward’s home course, on July 25.
