VanDamme Invited to Pro Lacrosse Tryout With Rochester
Wallaceburg Red Devils star Jordan VanDamme will have a chance to test his skills against some of the best box lacrosse players in the world after being invited to the Rochester Knighthawks main camp November 28.
VanDamme, a Wallaceburg resident, was invited to Rochester’s Main Camp after impressing scouts at a mini camp held last weekend in Six Nations.
With the Wallaceburg Red Devils last season, VanDamme was limited to 12 regular season games, but played a significant role in Wallaceburg’s success, scoring 29 goals, and adding 22 assists, for 53 points.
In the playoffs, VanDamme continued to shine for Wallaceburg as they upset the Spartans (St. Chatherines) and London, before falling to Six Nations. VanDamme scored 21 goals and added 16 assists in 10 playoff games with the Red Devils.
Last season, the Rochester Knighthawks finished second in the National Lacrosse League’s East Division, before capturing the NLL title, winning the Champion’s Cup over the Edmonton Rush.
