Griffith Sets Up OHL Championship Goal

A year after sending the London Knights to the Memorial Cup by scoring the OHL Championship goal, Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith set up this year’s winner, with less than a second remaining in the game.

Rodney’s Bo Horvat, scored the game winning goal with less than a second remaining in the game, with the assist going to Griffith, lifting the London Knights to a 3-2 game 7 win, and sending them to the Memorial Cup for the second straight year.

The assist was Griffith’s second of the game, after he set up Olli Maatta on the powerplay late in the second period.

Horvat also scored the games opening goal.

Griffith finished the 2013 OHL playoffs with 9 goals and 16 assists in 21 games.

The Knights will open the 2013 Memorial Cup May 17 in Saskatoon against the host Saskatoon Blades. The Memorial Cup will also feature the Portland Winterhawks and Halifax Mooseheads.
