Suisham Ready For Regular Season
Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham missed his first field goal of the 2013-2014 NFL preseason, going 2-for-3 as his Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 26-20.
Suisham opened the game hitting a 28-yard attempt to put Pittsburgh up 3-0. In the second quarter, Suisham missed his first kick of the season after opening the exhibition year 5-for-5, having a 52-yard attempt blocked by Kansas’ Tysyn Hartman.
In the fourth quarter, Suisham gave Pittsburgh what could have been the game winning points, hitting a 27-yard field goal to put the Steelers ahead 20-17. Kansas however, would tie the game on a field goal of their own and win with a Rico Richardson touchdown in overtime.
Before Saturday’s game, Suisham had his 28- and 30-yard field goals against Washington, and 34- and 41-yard touchdowns against the NY Giants.
With only one preseason game remaining next week against Carolina, it appears Suisham is ready for regular season kicking duties.
