Fox Among OHL Leaders

Thamesville’s Dane Fox is on pace to have the best season of his OHL career, as the veteran forward is lighting up the ice for the Erie Otters.

Currently, Fox sits in 18th in OHL scoring, notching 5 goals and 4 assists in 6 games for the Erie Otters. In that time the Otters are out to a 3-2-1-0 record, sitting third in the Midwest Division.

After scoring 54 points in 2011-2012, Fox had 36 last season in only 37 seasons, after missing the first half of the year with an ankle injury.

Prior to this season, Fox played for the St. Louis Blues at the Traverse City NHL Prospects tournament.

Facing North Bay this past Saturday, Fox had a breakout performance, scoring two goals and adding two assists for the Otters.

Erie takes on the Owen Sound Attack Wednesday October 9. Owen Sound features Blenheim’s Kyle Hope, who is a former teammate of Fox with the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
