Marlatt Named Great Lakes Player of the Month
It’s not an everyday occurence that a 16-year-old is the best player in a Junior hockey league. That was exactly the case however during the month of October for Blenheim Blades rookie Drew Marlatt.
Marlatt, a Windsor Spitfires draft pick in this year’s OHL draft, had an incredible October, scoring 13-points in 8 games.
In that span, Marlatt scored his first career Junior hat trick in a win over Mooretown, and had 2 goals and 3 assists in a 5-4 win over Dresden.
The Chatham-Kent Secondary School student, is a Chatham resident and a Chatham-Kent Cyclones alumni.
Overall this season, Marlatt currently sits tied for 9th in Great Lakes Junior C scoring with 10 goals and 20 points in 16 games for the Blenheim Blades.
