Norg Wins Provincial Swimming Title
Norg was the fastest swimmer in the boys 15-16 50m freestyle event, touching the wall in first in 24.05 seconds. Norg also won the 100m freestyle event, finishing in 52.60. In the 100m backstroke division, Norg edged Guelph swimmer David Webb, winning the event with a time of 59.59, only 18 one-hundredths of a second ahead of Webb.
In the boys 15-16 butterfly event, Norg swam 59.12 to finish third.
Norg was second in the 400m Individual Medley event, touching the wall in a time of 1:02.20.
As a part of the freestyle relay team, Norg also helped his Windsor Essex team to a win. His team, featuring Andrew Binder, Andrej Kukuruzovic, and Cody Lavoie, won with a time of 1:34.50.
In total, Norg, who attends Maranatha Christian Academy in Windsor, finished with three first place finished, a second, and a third.
Norg also won multiple gold’s earlier this year at the International Children’s Games.
