Vanrabaeys Player Of The Month, Kings Add Shelton
Vanrabaeys, an overage defenseman, has been a rock for the Kings in his five year career, playing close to 200 regular season and playoff games, all in a Dresden uniform.
In nine games in November, Vanrabaeys had three goals and three assists for six points from the blueline, including three points in three wins to close out the month.
The Thamesville, Ontario resident now has 8 points in 18 games for the Kings this season.
The Dresden Kings also also added a familiar face, who’s seen his way around the Great Lakes league this season, acquiring veteran James Shelton from the Blenheim Blades.
Shelton, who started the season with the Belle River Canadiens, where he sat in second in league scoring, played four games for the Blades, scoring four points, before returning to the place he started his Junior career in Dresden.
Shelton, a Tupperville resident, played for the Dresden Kings from 2010-2012, and has 35 points in 29 games this season. In exchange for Shelton, the Blades received forward Alex Ritchie.
