Jamieson Tour Stops In Ridgetown
Players battled high winds on the tight Ridgetown layout, with a total of 111 Junior and Collegiate Golfers participating in the event.
In the Junior Boys division Bryce Evon maintained his dominance winning his 5th event in 5 starts with a 3 under 69. Curtis Hughes finished 2nd with a one under par 71. Ridgetown’s own Carson McKinlay finished 4th, shooting a 73. Other local golfers including Blenheim’s Owen Dorrsers and Andrew Reaume of Wallaceburg tied for 15th, shooting 79
The winner of the two day Pickering Cup was also Bryce Evon who’s combined total of 134 easily topped the field.
In the Junior Girls Division Jasmine Ly and Emily Stadder both shot 79 so the title had to be settled in a playoff. Jasmine parred the first playoff hole to take the title. Jasmine was also the Pickering Cup total with a two day total of 160. Chatham’s Nara Sonu was 8th on the women’s side, shooting 90.
In the Collegiate Men’s Division Tyler Leblanc won his first event with a two under 70. Tyler Pope-Ferguson was a close second with a 71. Crawford McKinlay, a Ridgetown product and two time Junior winner at Ridgetown, finished third, shooting 72.
Sara Holland won the Collegiate Women’s Division with an 77.
The tour now moves to the Ambassador Golf Club on August 5.
