Shepley Helps Arrows Edge Toward Minto
Shepley scored a first period goal for the Arrows, helping them defeat the Coquitlam Adanacs 12-7 in game five of their best-of-seven series.
The Arrows had fallen behind 2-0 in the series, before winning three straight games to set up a potentially deciding game Saturday night at 8pm.
In three games played during the Minto Cup, Shepley now has three goals and two assists.
Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston is also a part of the Arrows, but has been sidelined since their OLA semi-final series with a knee injury.
Former Tilbury resident Brandon Montour had a goal and two assists in Wednesday’s game five, and has seven points in his five games in the Minto Cup so far this season.
Should Coquitlam tie the series Saturday, game seven would take place Sunday, August 24 at 8pm.
