Days after Teddy McGeen was released from the GOJHL’s Chatham Maroons, the Windsor forward was scooped up by the Blenheim Blades of the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League.

McGeen played one game with the Chatham Maroons this season, before he was released to make room for the return of Dede Cato from the OJHL’s Toronto Patriots.

Last season, McGeen suited up for the Windsor Junior Spitfires Major Midget ‘AAA’ team. In 20 games with the Spitfires, the five-foot-eight forward had 3 goals and added 3 assists, along with 54 penalty minutes.

With the Blades only having 22-signed prior to McGeen, they were not forced to release anyone from their current roster.

McGeen will join the Blenheim Blades immediately, including their game Sunday when the Blades host Alvinston.
