Ridgetown Girls Hockey

The LKSSAA girls hockey schedule continued Thursday with the Ridgetown Royals and UCC Lancers picking up wins.

UCC remained undefeated on the LKSSAA season beating the Lambton-Kent Cardinals 5-0. Madison Lalonde had a goal and two assists in the game, while Aliyah Whiteye had a goal and an assist.

Also scoring for the Lancers were Lauren Nicholson, Delaney Taylor, and Katreena Whiteye.

The Ridgetown Royals also picked up a win Thursday, defeating the Wallaceburg Tartans 8-1. Lauren Edwards, Brooke Hills, and Corinna VandenBoorn each scored twice for the Royals in the win, while Meredith Goldhawk and Alli Oliphant also scored.

Wahbzii Shognosh scored Wallaceburg lone goal in the loss.

The LKSSAA girls hockey schedule is now on hold until after the exam break. The season resumes February 2 when Ridgetown faces UCC.
