99.1 CKXS To Broadcast Jr C Hockey Again This Year

Along with many local players, families, coaches and fanbases, Wallaceburg’s 99.1 CKXS is preparing for another year of Great Lakes Junior “C” hockey.

In the previous five years of its existence, the team at Five Amigos Broadcasting has followed selected home games for both the Wallaceburg Lakers and Dresden Jr Kings throughout the regular season and playoffs. This season, 99.1 CKXS is branching out to cover some additional home games for the Blenheim Blades and Wheatley Sharks, following all Chatham-Kent Jr. C teams throughout 2015-16.

This season’s broadcast team will consist of Gary Patterson, Jay Smith, Bill Cole, CKSN.ca’s own Ian Kennedy, C-K Sports Talk’s Peter Cobb and former NHL’er Todd Warriner. 99.1 will provide live play-by-play for select regular season games and all local playoff games.

The CKXS broadcast schedule will begin with Dresden’s home (and season) opener this Friday as the new-look Jr Kings play host to the Alvinston Flyers.
