Durston Drafted by NLL’s Vancouver Stealth
Durston was Vancouver’s first pick, in the second round, of the NLL draft, and according to the offensive forward who had 24 goals and 40 assists in 19 games with the Arrows last season, he’s excited to join the Stealth organization.
“It is amazing to be a part of the Stealth organization,” said Durston on the Vancouver Stealth website. “It is just a crazy feeling right now. I am really excited to be picked by Vancouver and I hope to step into the line-up and make an impact.”
“Jordan was a player that our scouting staff Pat McCready and Jake Henhawk kept a close eye on all year,” said Head Coach Dan Perreault after selecting the Wallaceburg District Secondary School grad. “We like guys that know how to win and Jordan is just coming off another Minto Cup victory with Six Nations.”
Durston was part of two straight Minto Cup championships with the Six Nations Arrows, and was named the OLA Junior B offensive player of the year with Wallaceburg prior to that.
In total, the Vancouver Stealth selected 8 players in the 2015 NLL draft. All new players will join the Stealth for training camp in December.
