Only days after veteran captain Brayden Hopkins decided to leave the Chatham Maroons to finish his Junior career with the Junior C Blenheim Blades, another veteran has cut ties with the team to play Junior C.

Luc Knight is the latest veteran to move on from the Maroons.

Knight, also a 1995 born player, will return closer to home to play Junior C, reportedly with the Port Stanley Sailors of the SOJHL.

In 19 games this season, Knight had the lowest point totals of his career, collecting 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points.

Last season, the St. Thomas native split time between the Junior A Yarmouth Mariners, and the Maroons.

In 126 career Junior B games, Knight has 36 goals and 48 assists for 84 points.

He last played Junior C as a 16-year-old rookie in 2011-2012 for Port Stanley, earning SOJHL Rookie of the Year honours.
