CKXS-Morning-Sports-BriefsMadison Broad picked up the gold medal in the 100m backstroke yesterday at the Eastern Nationals in Montreal.  Broad will be competing throughout the week.  Madison performed a personal best to win the gold.  Today she will swim in the 100m butterfly and 50m backstroke.

Two Jr C  teams can either push for a game 7 or pack it up for the season tonight. The Dresden Jr Kings are in a do or die situation when they host the Blenheim Blades tonight in game 6 of their series.  The Blades currently lead the series 3 games to 2.  You can hear all the action live on 99.1 CKXS starting with the pre-game show at 7:20.  The Amherstburg Admirals could also face elimination tonight as they play the Mooretown Flags in the other quarter final series tonight.  The Flags with the 3 games to 2 edge in the series

The Leamington Flyers edged out the Chatham Maroons last night 3-2 in Jr B Play, La Salle did the same thing to Sarnia.  Tonight the Lambton Shores Predators take on St Mary’s.

AA-AAA Jr Girls Volleyball finals today at John McGregor High School as the Panthers host the Wallaceburg Tartans, in the AA final.   The AAA final it will see UCC traveling to St Pats.  On the Sr Girls courts UCC face the Chatham Kent Golden Hawks in the AAA final.  The Jr Girls final will see Blenheim taking on Lambton Kent,  while Chatham Christian will battle Blenheim for the Sr girls crown.
