The London Knights are the 2016 MasterCard Memorial Cup Champions.  The Knights defeated Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in overtime 3 – 2.

Joseph Raaymaker of Chatham and the Soo Greyhound goal keeper is all set for the NHL combine which gets underway today in Buffalo.

The Wallaceburg Thrashers are still looking for their first win of the season.  The Thrashers fell to the Six Nations Rivermen over the weekend 19 – 7

The Twin City Predators defeated the Chatham – Kent Cougars in the Cougars season opening in Ontario Varsity Division Football 30 – 12

The German Canadian Bullets downed the Chatham Eagles 10 – Nil in Premier Division soccer on the weekend.

Alex Lilley found the winners circle 3 times yesterday at Dresden Raceway.  Lilley took the win in the 6th race with Distinctiv Sean, then was the winner of race 9 with Mach Shark and came back in race 10 to grab a first place finish with Fortune New Moon.  Close to 500 people packed the stands for the opening of the harness racing season.
