Blenheim Blast Enjoyed Big Weekend

The Blenheim Blast’s Brendan VanHerk made his way to three finals and enjoyed six personal bests while competing at the Canadian Eastern Swimming Championship in Etobicoke this past weekend.

VanHerk finished fifth in the 400 individual medley, seventh in the 200 individual medley and 13th in the 200 backstroke.

The Eastern Canadian Championships feature teams and athletes from across the country.

The Blast swim team also participated in the Seal Team Championships in Leamington.

Three Blast team members won top spots in tier age group, including: Malachi Farrow, 2nd place overall winner in the 8/9 year olds, Evan Moore, 1st place overall winner in the 12/13 year olds and Sean Curl, 3rd place overall winner also in 12/13 year olds.
