Ladd Excited For New Challenges
Grayson Ladd is getting ready for the next chapter in his OHL career.
The Kent Bridge-born defenceman was traded from Kitchener to the Windsor Spitfires over the weekend.
As heard on CK Sports Talk on 99.1 CKXS Monday night, the 16-year-old is eager to hit the ice with his new team.
“I called (General Manager) Warren Rychel after they broke the news to me,” Ladd says. “He says it’s going to be a tough couple of years because we’re young, but they’ve got great guys there, great teammates, great players, and a great staff, and I’ve already talked to some of them and they sound really nice.”
There’s a lot involved in being traded, including getting settled in a new school and moving in with a new billet family.
But Ladd says he’s looking forward to the challenge.
“I think it will be a good start for me, a nice fresh start, and see what I can do in the second half for the Spitfires.”
