Pickleball For Hospice Returning To CK
The Chatham-Kent Pickleball Club and St. Clair College, Chatham Campus HealthPlex are hosting Pickleball for Hospice 2018 with a series of pickleball themed events to raise funds for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation on May 4 – 6, 2018.
Events include on Friday, May 4 intermediate and advanced player clinic with Sid and Carolyn Stevens of Florence AZ and St. Thomas ON, a youth tournament featuring local high school players.
Saturday is an adult (16+) fun team tournament where players will be assigned to a team and play games with everyone on their team with a lunch included and a social event and prize raffles and draws following the tournament.
Sunday is Play a Pro day for a chance to play with or against Sid and Carolyn Stevens who are professional coaches and tournament 4.5 and 5.0 players (5.0 is the highest rating in pickleball).
Last years inaugural Pickleball for Hospice raised $8000 for the Chatham-Kent Hospice through the participation of volunteers, local businesses and 60 players and fans. All are welcome to attend or to play.

The Chatham-Kent Pickleball Club is a not for profit organization supporting active lifestyle though the sport of pickleball in Chatham-Kent and hosts league, lessons, clinics, tournaments and social play both indoors and outdoors 12 months a year. Estimates are that there are over 400 people playing this sport across Chatham-Kent.
