The Ridgetown product scored 6 goals and 15 points in 45 games as a rookie with the Maroons.
“We have agreed to a mutual parting of ways,” confirmed Chatham Maroons head coach Kyle Makaric of Carter’s departure from the team. “He is a great teammate and an excellent person. He will still get into some games with us as an AP player this year. We wish him the best of luck this season with Dresden.”
Carter spent the 2016-2017 season with the Dresden Kings scoring 25 points in 40 games as a 16-year-old.
