Grand Slam of Curling Opens To Packed House In Chatham

A packed house crowd was on hand Wednesday night in Chatham for the opening ceremonies and draw of the Pinty’s Elite 10 Grand Slam of Curling.

The event, which features four teams skipped by Olympic Gold Medallist’s, and numerous world champions, will run from Wednesday until Sunday at Thames Campus Arena in Chatham.

In opening action, Team Gushue defeated Team Gunnlaugson 4-1, Team Carruthers beat Team Jacobs 4-3, Team Epping downed Team Howard 5-1, Team Jones shutout Team Carey 4-0, and Team Hasselborg defeated Team Sinclair 4-1.
