Large Local Contingent To Play In Alliance All-Star Weekend

Chatham-Kent Cyclones forward Jacob Julien will be the lone representative for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones at the Alliance Hockey minor midget ‘AAA’ All-Star Game.

He won’t however be the only local player, as Ridgetown’s Zander Veccia, and Blenheim’s Brady Stonehouse, who both play for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs, will also be participating.

Julien, a London product, who played ‘AA’ last season with the London Jr. Knights, is currently leading the Cyclones in scoring with 17 points in 18 games.

Veccia currently sits tied for 3rd in Alliance scoring with 30 points in 16 games. Stonehouse is 9th in Alliance scoring with with 27 points in 18 games.

The Alliance Minor Midget All-Star game will take place Sunday, November 24 at 11:15am in Woodstock. It will be followed by the Major Midget All-Star game at 1:45pm. The previous afternoon, the Major Bantam All-Star game will take place at 2:15pm.

In the Major Bantam game, several Chatham-Kent Cyclones will suit up. Thamesville’s Tre Altiman will be one of two goaltenders for the West. Altiman is a netminder for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Major Bantam ‘AAA’ team. Belle River’s Trent Ledrew who is a defender for the Cyclones, along with forwards David Brown and Brayden Degelas of Blenheim, and Tecumseh’s Connor Tucker will play. As well, Chatham-Kent product Declan Waddick, who plays for the Sun County Panthers will compete.

The Major Midget game will feature Chatham’s Anthony Lucarelli who plays for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs.
