St. Clair College Hosting OCAA Women’s Basketball Championships

The St. Clair College Women’s Basketball team have been biding their time as host of the 2020 OCAA Provincial Championship Final 8 Tournament being played March 6-8 at the SportsPlex. But after sitting out the crossover playoff round the Saints will get their chance Friday in the quarterfinals against George Brown College (Toronto) with tip time set for 6:00pm.

With an automatic berth into the Championship the Lady Saints had a fine season finishing 3rd in the West Division with a 14-4 record and were ranked 3rd overall in the OCAA’s final poll. George Brown finished the season ranked 6th in the province after a 13-3 record in the East Division. St. Clair is also ranked 13th in the country but will need to win the Gold Medal on Sunday if they want to qualify for the National Championship being hosted by Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, BC March 18-21.
