Carleton Sets Assists Records By A Canadian In The WNBA

It didn’t take Bridget Carleton long to make a name for herself in the WNBA.

Not only has the shattered her personal career highs, this week she set a pair of records by a Canadian player in the WNBA.

Carleton set the record for most assists without a turnover by a Canadian born player in the WNBA with 10 in a 96-78 Minnesota Lynx win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

She also tied the Canadian record for most assists in a game with her 10 helpers in the contest. She tied Stacey Dales, who set the mark in 2004.

Carleton started the game playing 28:34 in the contest.

Even more incredible with Carleton’s 10 assists, was the fact she did not record a point. She did however register 3 defensive rebounds.

It was only the 16th time in WNBA history that a player had recorded double digit assists without scoring a point.
