After scoring gold in the provincial tournament in Streetsville, Ontario, the team advanced to the national five-pin competition, held May 7-9 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The boys, bowl out of Bowlerama in Chatham, took part in two tournaments bowling a total of 14 games over three days.

In the junior mixed team tournament, the Chatham boys were paired with junior girls bowlers from Sarnia Ontario — Kennedy Keating, Kailey Milner, and coach Tammy Ottonello who bowl out of Marcin Bowl in Point Edward.
