Tricker, Falcons Prepare For Challenge Cup
Most recently, Tricker and her Falcons teammates captured the Conestoga College Tournament title defeating SLC Cornwall 1-0 in the final.
The Falcons are the top ranked college women’s hockey team entering the Challenge Cup, which is scheduled to take place March 26-27 at Humber College.
“Our team’s goal is to take home gold at Provincials and we are feeling pretty confident going into this Challenge Cup with only losing 3 of the 20 games we have played,” says Tricker, who has 27 points in only 20 games this season with the Falcons.
“This experience has been great to be a part of such a supportive team, making new friendships, being one of the youngest on the team and one of the top scorers.”
Tricker, a Lambton-Kent Composite School graduate played ‘AA’ hockey last season for the Bluewater Hawks, and also plays for Fanshawe’s Varsity soccer team, who are members of the OCAA.
The Falcons also captured the UTSC tournament crown earlier this season, as well as the Humber tournament. Tricker has been awarded the Player of the Game in three different tournaments this season.
Along with hockey and outdoor soccer, Tricker is playing for Fanshawe’s indoor soccer team, which will compete at provincials on March 20.
