Wheatley, ON – The Wheatley Sharks continued to turn their season around by defeating the Kingsville Comets 7-5 in Great Lakes Junior C hockey action.

Wheatley goal scorers were Kurtis Ouellette with 2, and Andy Stevenson, Jesse Martin, Trevor Grieve, Anthony Stankiewicz, and Josh Trembley with singles. Aeron Romeril took the win in net for the Wheatley Sharks.

In Dresden, the Kings fell 4-3 to the Mooretown Flags after leading 3-2 heading into the third. Dresden goals were scored by Dylan Mertz, Cam Ross, and Jim Rouse. Donny Bowling scored the winner for Mooretown with only a minute and a half left on the clock.

Sunday in Blenheim, Kingsville rebounded from their loss to Wheatley by beating the Blenheim Blades 5-2. In the second period, Kingsville capatilized on two powerplays and added a shorthanded marker.

Thomas Innes scored both goals for Blenheim in the loss.
