Chatham Skating Club is Golden at Weekend Competitions

Skaters from the Chatham Skating Club attended 2 competitions this past weekend: The Dennis Silverthorne MemorialChatham Skating Club Wins Gold - Chatham-Kent Sports Network News Invitational Competition in Dorchester from Feb. 4 – 6, and The Edith Scheonrock Competition in Port Huron, on Feb. 5th. 
 
At the Dennis Silverthorne, Chatham obtained 4 Gold Medals. 

Ashley Glassco captured the Gold Medals in both the Pre-Novice Ladies Short and Long Freeskate Programs. 
 
In Starskate Pre-Preliminary Ladies, Hannah Ross took home the Gold Medal.
 
Hayley Luckhurst took centre podium with the Gold Medal during Starskate Bronze Interpretive Ladies.
 
At the Development Level 1 Men event, Benjamin Alexander, received the Gold Medal.
 
While at Development Level 2 Dance, Nicholas Robinson and his partner Larysa Ainsworth from Blenheim, received the Bronze Medal. 
 
Also during Development Level 3 Ladies, Olivia Stallaert placed 7th out of 27 skaters. 
 
Paige Newman, who passed her Novice Competitive Test at this competition, received an 8th place finish at this new level that she will be competing at, Novice Ladies. 
 
During the Triathlon events, where competitors compete in 3 different events, 2 skaters competed.
 
Madelyn Alexander, who competed in Ladies Bronze Triathlon, placed  9th at the Interpretive event, 9th in the Freeskate and 10 in the skills, giving her an overall 9th place finish.
 
Ryley Goodhand, who competed in Ladies Gold Triathlon, also placed 9th overall.  She was 8th in Skills, 9th in the Freeskate and 10th in Interpretive.
 
While at the Edith Scheonrock, Brianna Lachance placed 5th in Juvenile Test Track Freeskate, and Sydney Hart placed 5th in Beginner Test Track Freeskate ‘A’.
