Nishizaki Ends CIS Hockey Career with Windsor
Former Chatham Maroons star Kyle Nishizaki played in his final CIS hockey game on February 18th as his University of Windsor Lancers hockey team were eliminated from the playoffs by the University of Western Ontario Mustangs.
Nishizaki, standing 5’7″, scored 23 goals and 59 assists in his four year career with the University of Windsor Lancers. During his freshman season, the Chatham native experienced his best results as a university hockey player scoring 10 goals and 16 assists, as well as 2 goals and 2 assists during Windsor’s playoff run.
Now, Nishizaki’s focus will return to his studies as he finishes a degree in Human Kinetics.
During the opening game of Windsor’s playoff series against Western, Nishizaki scored his team’s lone goal in the 4-1 loss.
