UCC shuts out CKSS to win Girls Hockey Championship
Although the play was end to end for most of the game, UCC came out on top winning the 2011 Girls Hockey Kent Championships with a 4-0 win.
Anna Beenackers had two goals for the UCC Lancers while Katie Balkwill had a goal and an assist, and Alena Fiala scored a single goal. Jessalyn Martin had two assists and Katrina Heyink picked up the shutout in net for Ursuline College.
UCC now advances to the SWOSSAA semi-final against the Lambton Champion.
In the A-AA Challenge game, Ridgetown defeated Lambton-Kent 2-1 with goals from Cheyenne Hopkins, and Tawny Huff.
