Bantam Chatham-Kent Wildcats Win Gold at Blessed Sacrament Tournament
The Chatham-Kent Wildcats Bantam girls team came home from the Blessed Sacrament tournament in Hamilton as the Div.4A gold medalists. Chatham started the weekend with a Friday night win over the Lindsay Wildcats 42-35. Chatham then had wins of 39-22 over Port Colburne and 35-27 over Blessed Sacrament #2 to complete pool play undefeated.
In the 4A semi-finals Chatham-Kent avenged early season losses to Sarnia Valhalla by winning 42-38. Finally, in the gold medal game, the Chatham-Kent Wildcats went on to win defeat Mississauga 22-14.
