Two Chatham Skaters Heading to Provincial Championships

Six Chatham Skating Club members but forth their efforts in the 2011 Western Ontario Section  – Boston Pizza Starskate Championships.  This competition, held in Fort Erie, on Feb 26 and 27, will see all of the top 3 finalists in each event, advance to the 2011 Trillium Starskate Provincial Championships on March 11-13 in Mississauga, to compete against skaters from all over the Province.
 
In the WO Pre Juvenile Ladies event, Olivia Stallaert made it to the podium with a Bronze Medal, placing 3rd out of 25 skaters.   
 
In Starskate Senior Silver Men, Steven Sinclair received the Gold Medal.   
 
Stallaert and Sinclair will advance to the Provincial Championships! 
 
While at Starskate Junior Bronze Ladies, 3 Chatham ladies skated in this vast flight of 75 skaters . Rebecca Fehr placed 34th, followed closely by Sloan Taylor in 36th place.  Just behind them was Jacqueline Sereda who landed 46th place.
 
Madelyn Alexander finished with 12th place overall in Starskate Bronze Triathlon.  She was 11th in Interpretive, 13th in Skills, and 13th in Freeskate.
