ECHL Season Over for Dresden's Wes Cunningham
The hockey season for Dresden’s Wes Cunningham ended on April 27 when his Greenville Road Warriors dropped a 4-3 overtime game to the Wheeling Nailers in ECHL play. Wheeling now faces the Kalamazoo Wings for the Eastern Conference championship.
For Wes Cunningham, this season proved to be his best as a third-year professional hockey player. He had seven goals and a league record 36 assists in 69 games with the Road Warriors. He also picked up five assists in 11 playoff games.
Cunningham certainly deserves a look this fall by an American Hockey League team as a result of his performance this year.
