Season Ends for TJ Brodie After Ankle Injury
After a stellar rookie professional season which included multiple games with the NHL’s Calgary Flames, and an AHL All-Star Game appearance representing the AHL Abbotsford Heat, Dresden’s TJ Brodie has suffered an ankle injury which will end his season.
The injury comes at the worst possible time for the Abbotsford Heat as they are battling for a playoff spot and Brodie has been one of the defensive leaders for the the Heat. If the Heat do make the playoffs, Brodie is likely going to be unavailable according to team officials.
Brodie finishes his first professional hockey season with 5 goals, and 29 assists for 34 points. Brodie who is playing for the Calgary Flames’ top affiliate team in Abbotsford was hurt in a game versus the Detroit Red Wings farm team, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
