Wes Cunningham Named an ECHL All-Star
Dresden resident and former Chatham Maroons defenseman Wes Cunningham has been named a First Team All-Star in the ECHL.
This season, Cunningham played as a member of the Greenville Road Warriors scoring 7 goals and 33 assists. His 40 points are tied for second among ECHL defenseman.
The East Coast Hockey League serves as a farm league for the American Hockey League as well the National Hockey League.
The 24-year-old who is in his third professional season has also seen spot duty in the American League over the past few seasons after graduating from the OHL’s Plymouth Whalers.
Greenville is the ECHL’s top team in the Eastern Conference with only two games remaining in the regular season. The ECHL playoffs begin next week.
