Win a $100 grocery gift card for telling us your smoke-free story!
The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit wants to hear from expecting moms and dads, or mom, dads, grandparents and caregivers who have quit smoking because of a “little one” in their life. Write your story in 200-400 words, telling us why it was important for you to quit smoking, how you did it, and what positive changes you noticed as a result in your home and with your children.
Email us your smoke-free story at ckhealth@chatham-kent.ca or send it by mail to the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit, 435 Grand Ave W., Chatham ON, N7M 5L8 Attn: Tara. Don’t forget to include your name and phone number so we can call you if you win! Contest ends April 30.
This contest is a part of the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit’s smoking cessation campaign specifically designed for new and expecting families. 1 in 4 women in Chatham-Kent smoke during pregnancy, which is well above the provincial estimates. Billboards, bus shelter ads, and helpful resources in doctor’s offices are a few things the health unit is doing to increase awareness and offer help to moms and dads who want to quit.
Call the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit for more information at 519-352-7270.
