The Chatham Maroons today announced that they have partnered with Sport Testing for the upcoming Maroon Prospects camp on May 6th, 7th and 8th, 2011.

Sport Testing is the world’s most advanced on-line skills evaluation and analysis system for ice hockey. Renowned coaches and scientists created a precise, state-of-the art tool that would not only evaluate players’ skills and compare them against his or her peers, but it would also provide a blueprint for skill development.  This evaluation system is being used by both NHL and OHL clubs and was used to test the top 60 prospects in the upcoming OHL draft.

Maroon prospects attending the May camp will each be tested and receive their individual results.  Data collected by the Maroons will help the team track the progress of players for the upcoming season.

The testing will be conducted by Sport Testing officials on Saturday, May 7th, 2011 between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the Thames Campus.  Hockey coaches and volunteers along with the general public are invited to attend the sessions to get a better understanding of the Sport Testing system.  Further information on their program can be found at http://www.sporttesting.ca/testing/hockey/.
