John McGregor Picks up Win and Tie Against LKCS in Senior Soccer

jmss panthersThe John McGregor Panthers won and tied against the Lambton-Kent Cardinals in KCSSAA Senior Soccer Thursday afternoon.

In the Senior Girls soccer game, the McGregor Panthers topped the Cardinals 2-1. Maddi Ganger and Rebekah Cole scored for the Panthers with Rachel Reding being named the Panthers’ game star. Danielle Bird scored the lone goal for Dresden (Lambton-Kent), while Stacey McDonald was named the game star.

Lambton-Kent and John McGregor played to a 1-1 draw in the senior boys match. Nate St. Pierre scored for John McGregor while James Shelton scored for LKCS. Brandon Jenner (JMSS) and Daniel Moffat (LKCS) were named game stars.

With the win in the girls game, John McGregor jumped 3 points ahead of Dresden in the standings. The tie on the boys side gave John McGregor their first point of the season after losing their first five games.
