MMA Title Fight Less Than A Week Away for Wallaceburg's Jesse Gross

WRECK MMA BeltsWallaceburg, ON – For a small town Chatham-Kent fighter from Wallaceburg, Ontario, the bout of his life is just around the corner. That is a fact that Jesse Gross welcomes as he prepares for his fight this Friday against highly ranked Canadian MMA fighter Brad Cardinal.

“Mental preparation is something that I carry very heavily,” said Gross, “If you’ve seen me fight just once, you know that I’m always fueled with emotion. Each and every fight I must find a way to train that much harder and improve my skills across the board. I pour everything I have into my training, I work way to hard to just roll over and quit once that bell rings and things get tough.”

In recent months, Gross has been training for his fight, which is for the WRECK MMA lightweight title, at Adrenaline MMA in London, Ontario. His upcoming fight in Gatineau, Quebec, will present Gross’ toughest challenge to date, one in which he expects nothing to come easy,

“I expect the fight won’t be a quick affair, I see it being a long, hard, back and fourth battle, any type of a stoppage won’t come easily.”

Gross is seen as the underdog in this fight despite his 6-0 professional record. Now, for Wallaceburg’s Jesse Gross, the goal is clear, prove to the world his successful start as a professional MMA fighter was no fluke, and to let nothing stand in his way from winning the May 6 title fight,

“I simply refuse to let an opponent break me down mentally. If Brad thinks he can glare his eyes and intimidate me in any way, he needs to give his head a shake. I’m coming out to fight from bell to bell with everything I’ve got.”
