Pain Court Advances to OFSAA Soccer With SWOSSAA Semi Win
The Pain Court Patriotes girls soccer team were the lone Kent County (KCSSAA) team to continue winning Monday night as they defeated North Lambton (Forest) 5-0 in the SWOSSAA semi-final.
Already guaranteed a spot in the OFSAA soccer tournament as Pain Court will host the best teams from across Ontario June 2 to June 4, the Patriotes proved the belong shutting out North Lambton in convincing fashion.
Janelle Labonte scored twice for the Pain Court Patriotes while Brooke Marchand, Elyse Trudell, and Cassandra Faubert each scored single goals. Alisha Dezeure earned the shutout in goal for Pain Court.
Pain Court now advances to play Windsor Lajeunesse in the SWOSSAA final Thursday.
In the other girls SWOSSAA game, CKSS was defeated by the Northern Vikings 3-2 in overtime. Hannah Kennedy and Jess McIntosh scored for the CKSS Golden Hawks.
On the boys side, North Lambton defeated Lambton-Kent 3-2, the St. Clair Colts shut out Wallaceburg 6-0, and Northern defeated CKSS 4-2.
