Predators Take a Bite Out of JV Chatham-Kent Cougars

Chatham-Kent Cougars FootballSaturday, the JV Chatham-Kent Cougars lost to the Twin Cities Predators 44-17. The Cougars played the game without several key players due to injuries from the ongoing Kent County High School football season.

At Wilfrid Laurier Stadium, Tanner Emery, Ben Bartlett, and Cole Herman lead the Chatham-Kent Cougars offence. Emery had one touchdown on 15 carries for 121 total yards. Ben Bartlett, the quarterback of the Blenheim Bobcats high school team, had 6 receptions for 87 yards, and also kicked a field goal for the Cougars. Herman had the other Chatham-Kent Cougars touchdown and 9 pass completions for 101 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, Rylett Ward lead the Cougars with 9 tackles in the game. Carter Claridge picked up 4 tackles, while Erich Demars had 4 tackles and a fumble recovery.

With the high school season coming to an end this week, the JV Chatham-Kent Cougars will look to build on their start to the season as the remainder of their roster returns to form following injuries.
