Several Chatham-Kent Badminton Players Headed to OFSAA

Pain Court Patriotes

The top finishers from the Kent Badminton tournament earlier this month travelled to Leamington Tuesday night for the SWOSSAA badminton championships and a chance to advance to OFSAA.

As they did much of the season locally, ESPC continued their domination on the court with multiple Pain Court Patriotes badminton players advancing to OFSAA.

Audree Rossignol and Nicole Rossignol finished first in girls singles, advancing to OFSAA in Aurora, while Justin Mayer and Courtney Postma won the mixed doubles division and will also compete in OFSAA.

Chatham-Kent Secondary School senior girl Kailey Houston also qualified for OFSAA after finishing second in girls singles. Houston was the Kent Champion in the same division.

Overall, ESPC captured their 4th consecutive team title edging Belle River.
