Tyke and Novice Wallaceburg Griffins Tie London

The Wallaceburg Griffins Tyke 1 team scored a flurry of goals to  tie London 10-10 Tuesday night in local lacrosse action. Kanton Verstraeten and Liam Johnston both had a pair of goals, while young Hunter Shepley had an incredible 5 goals. In 5 games this season, Shepley has 15 goals and 21 points.

Taylor Mader also scored for the Griffins Tyke 1 team while Shayne Logan chipped in with 5 assists.

In similar fashion, the Wallaceburg Griffins Novice 1 team also tied London 8-8 Tuesday. After trailing heading into the third period the Novice 1 Griffins stormed back to tie the game. Tanner Cole, Tyler Davis, and Riley Roe each had two goal games, while Evan Dumais and Hunter Santsche scored singles.

Aiden Lucyk and Malcolm Vandeveene split the tie in net for the Griffins.

Thursday, several Wallaceburg Griffins teams are back in action with the Tyke 2, Novice 2, and girls teams travelling to London for a triple header.

As well, Saturday several teams are in action in addition to the Wallaceburg Red Devils playing a home game against Welland at 4:00pm in Wallaceburg.
