After staying with the Six Nations Rebels for two periods, the Wallaceburg Red Devils couldn’t complete a comeback, allowing Six Nations to pull away late in the game and win 20-10.

Reid Miller was an offensive threat for the Red Devils scoring 5 goals in the game giving him 8 goals in two games for Wallaceburg. Dillon Lapointe, Jordan Durston, Rob Pollock, Clint Lamarsh, and Jordan VanDamme had singles in the game.

The strength of Six Nations lived up to Red Devils head coach Justin Durston’s expectations after he said this leading up to their home opener, “I expect Six Nations to be our toughest opponent during the regular season, they will be our measuring stick for the season as they are usually amongst the top in the season standings.”

After the first two games of the season, Rob Pollock and Clint Lamarsh share the team lead in points with 11 each while Reid Miller’s 8 goals are tops on the team.

Wallaceburg plays again Sunday in Guelph at 4:00pm, followed by Wednesday in Wallaceburg at 7:30pm against the Windsor Clippers.
