Chatham-Kent Sports Quote of the Week: WMLA Player Tanner Cole

With the huge achievement of the Wallaceburg Griffins Novice 1 Lacrosse team becoming Wallaceburg’s first lacrosse team since 1989 to receive an ‘A’ rating provincially, this week’s quote comes from team captain Tanner Cole.

The Novice team has an undefeated record in league play, and Cole leads the team in scoring with 33 goals and 24 assists for 67 points through only 13 games. In response to his team being given an ‘A’ classification, which means Wallaceburg is one of the top 12 Novice teams in Ontario, Tanner Cole had this to say,

“I’m excited to play ‘A’ ball and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to show the big centres we can play.”
