CK Police Officer Honoured at Hockey Hall of Fame
Officer Michael Pearce was honoured today by the Ontario Hockey Association at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The Media Information Officer with the Chatham-Kent Police Service, Pearce received the John Blackwell Award for most deserving official.
Pearce, who over his officiating career has refereed at the Junior B, OHL, and University levels, including a trip to the Unversity Games in Turkey this year, an IIHF tournament in which he called the gold medal game.
In the ceremony, which will take place at the Hockey Hall of Fame, the OHA will recognize players, officials, coaches, and trainers who have made a significant contribution to and impact on the game of hockey.
