Cougars Welcome Ontario's Best This Weekend

This weekend the Chatham-Kent Cougars welcome the Burlington Stampeders to town, who are considered to be Ontario’s premier football club. If you are a football fan this is the week to come out to the Chatham-Kent Athletic Complex field behind Chatham-Kent Secondary School for some quality football, and to see how the Ontario Football’s “new kids on the block” compare to Ontario’s champions.

Currently, Burlington is the top team in the Ontario Football Conference, and are recognized as the best team among other league’s in Ontario as well. Although it will be a challenge for the Cougars, club president and varsity coach Selwyn Jordan says it will be good for the organization,

“This will be a great test for our club and our individual teams,” says Varsity head coach and Club President Selwyn Jordan.

The games begin with the Peewees playing against Kitchener-Waterloo at 10:30AM. Then the club welcomes the Burlington football factory for a triple header with the Varsity Cougars battling at 1:00 PM, Junior Varsity Cougars versus Burlington at 4:00 PM, and the Bantam Cougars game starting at 7:00 finishing up under the lights.
